DDI Mobile (for members only)

This Privacy Policy explains how Dagger Defense Industries ("DDI," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and protects your information when you use the DDI Mobile application (the "App"). The App is a private organizational tool for members of the Dagger Defense Industries Star Citizen gaming organization.

By using the App, you agree to the practices described in this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.

1. Who the App Is For

DDI Mobile is a members-only application intended solely for approved members of the Dagger Defense Industries community. It is not a public, general-audience consumer app. Access requires credentials issued through our organization's membership process.

2. Information We Collect

We collect only the information needed to operate the organization's tools:

• Account & login information: your username and a securely hashed password. We never store your password in plain text.

• Identity information you provide during onboarding or that staff record: Discord user ID, Discord display name and username, your nickname in our Discord server, your Star Citizen RSI handle and moniker, UEE Citizen Record number, and any aliases you choose to share.

• Organizational activity data: your role and rank, training and promotion progress, event participation, operational assignments, and similar records you generate while using the App.

• Usage and status data: basic activity indicators such as online/last-active status used to support coordination features.

• Communications: if you use voice features, audio is transmitted in real time between members to enable communication. [State whether voice is recorded/stored — by default it is relayed live and not stored.]

We do not collect device advertising identifiers, and we do not use the App to track you across other companies' apps or websites.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use your information only to:

• authenticate you and secure your account;

• provide organizational features (roster, training, operations, events, intelligence, logistics, and communications);

• coordinate activities and track participation and progression within the organization;

• send service-related notifications relevant to your membership; and

• maintain the security and integrity of the platform.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for third-party advertising.

4. How Your Information Is Shared

Your information is visible only within the Dagger Defense Industries organization, as appropriate to your role:

• Other members and leadership may see organizational information such as your rank, roster entry, and participation, consistent with the App's role-based permissions.

• We do not share your personal information with outside parties except where required to operate the service (see Section 5) or where required by law.

5. Third-Party Services

The App relies on a limited number of service providers to function, which may process certain data on our behalf:

• Discord — for identity linking and notifications. Your use of Discord is also governed by Discord's own privacy policy.

• Expo / EAS — for app delivery and over-the-air updates.

These providers process data only as needed to provide their services.

6. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored on servers controlled by Dagger Defense Industries. We use reasonable technical and organizational measures—including password hashing, role-based access controls, and encrypted connections—to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

7. Data Retention

We retain your information for as long as you remain a member of the organization and as needed to operate the App. If you leave the organization, your records may be archived or removed in accordance with our internal practices. You may request deletion as described below.

8. Your Rights and Choices

You may:

• request access to the personal information we hold about you;

• request correction of inaccurate information; and

• request deletion of your account and associated personal information.

9. Children's Privacy

The App is not directed to children under the age of 13 (or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will remove it.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will revise the "Effective date" above and, where appropriate, notify members through the App. Continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
